Courses for workers in the fields of social services,
education, and health
A basic series of seminars intended for workers in the spheres of social services (in institutions, seniors’ homes, social care facilities, etc.) and in the fields of education and health care. This course acquaints participants with the various ways in which music and music therapy can be used in work with clients.
The emphasis is on experience and examining various approaches that will be very useful in their own work. The participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with a range of unique musical instruments, while at the same time experiencing various forms and effects of music performed during the course.
Basic individual units of the course can be one-day or weekend long, or the whole course can be combined into several weekend modules.
The optimum number of participants is 10–20. Previous experience of music and music training are not a condition. Participants will receive a certificate stating they have undergone the course.
